THE list

Make sure you're sitting down, because it's the one you've all been waiting for... THE definitive list of who's running in Lent. Shoot me now.

This list is in order of likeliness-to-win; notable society affiliations listed; political views are in terms of the SU [i.e. even if you claim you have no politics, within the SU most people can be put into a bracket]. Look away now if you get offended by idle speculation.

yes i would like to shoot you now Dan. How could I possibly be defined as being "CENTRE - right"??
I know it was a typical distortion made by Caspell et al when I stood against them because of their aversion to freedom of speech - but you ought to know better ;-)

Dan, you have finally figured out what I'm running for, but who told you ;-)

I have to add that PakSoc will be fielding a candidate for:

Anti-Racism: Mariam Jamshed
Residences: Rabiya Aslam
International: I have no idea!
F&S: Saad Fahim

Furthermore, Fariduddin Butt will not be standing for Treasurer but going for GenSec.

Nice to see even Hack Attack can't get it right!

Hardly THE list, when there are so many gaps!

Oh God. Imagine Fisher and Oliver working together... Why hasn't anyone noticed that dolly has no social skills and even less ability.

Dear All,

I would just like to counter the claim, above, that I am 'right'; the whole point of my campaign is to emphasise that a prospective General Secretary should be politically neutral, without explicit political associations, whcih some of the other candidates, unfortunately, have; I believe this is encompassed by the very nature of the word 'general', and is an imperative in a University with probably the world's most diverse student body.

Yours Sincerely,

Steve Wall

I'm not running for societies. I'm going for International. I'm loving that my political views are 'Ozzy' though.

shur-ely shome mishtake? Oliver for treasurer? Oliver for anything? Can't he just get a job as an assistant in the copy shop counting sheets of paper or something if he must insist on staying here?! Fisher would at least be competent!

this list is appaulingly inaccurate
Dan - you are slacking

Hackattack,

Aled Fisher's heart-warming letter to his supporters touched all who read it, and marked his card as the next Nelson Mandela. The sentence, "I have discovered that real politics happens at grassroots level by people organising themselves for change" is, however, remarkably similar to something a certain Barack Obama said after two minutes of the following video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5h95s0OuEg. Outsourcing your rhetoric is outsourcing gone too far.

Yours Amused
