The blog was asked to remove said article ('GAG him senseless') as part of a deal that Ossie was considering with Philips. It is understood that Philips would agree to withdraw from the RAG President race - after being circumstantially proved of cheating - to provide a new RAG President (In the form of Ben Jones) this year, rather than wait until after Summer. His proviso for his withdrawal was, somewhat strangely, that said article be removed.
Quite why Philips was granted any baraining rights in the whole affair seems at first sight a complete mystery. But the fact is that there were no witness testimonies to his malicious actions. However, the circumstantial body of evidence against him appears relatively water-tight. Futher insight may be issued shortly.
Hack Attack weighed the cost of temporarily removing the article against the cost to the Union of failing to elect a RAG President before the Summer.
