LSE Students' Union realises that people encounter various forms of discrimination on the basis of their sexuality, and recognises the need for their protection as members of the student body and as employees. Homophobic behaviour can manifest itself in varying degrees. It is a complex pattern of prejudicial attitudes, values, systematic stereotyping and discrimination which devalues the existence and lifestyles of Lesbians, Gay men and Bisexuals. Through our ongoing campaigns, via the Equal Opportunities Taskforce, the LGBT Officer and the LGBT Forum, the Students' Union intends to ensure that discrimination against a person because of their sexuality will not be tolerated.
